Post-fight with Iron Monger, Iron Man's identity is initially kept secret by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) finally uncovered. The military feels that the technology used to build Tony's armor that he uses when he became Iron Man can be used by the military and urged Tony to reveal the secret of this armor.Tony who was feeling pessimistic about the business of weapons trying to reject this offer of the military. Unfortunately, not only the military knows the secret identity of Iron Man. The press and the public already knew and this becomes an additional burden for Tony who had never want his secret revealed.
Tony Stark actually have a good reason why he was not willing to share secrets of Iron Man's armor. Tony did not want this secret to fall into the hands of those who intend evil and take advantage of this technology for personal gain. Do not know who to believe, Tony is now only dependent on the help of Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) and James Rhodes (Don Cheadle) only because there are some people who were also after the secret of this armor include Whiplash (Mickey Rourke), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Justin Hammer
